rural + sustainable | Indian bayou research center & oxbow park
The Indian Bayou Research Center is located in the Atchafalaya Basin of Louisiana and is a temporary live/work research complex for both scientists and students that exists along an oxbow of the Mississippi River. The objective of the research center and oxbow park is to organize the existing site, attract users, and foster education. In order to amplify the experience of the site, Areas of Intensity were developed to create connections between the user, water, and the landscape and activate the entire oxbow through outposts, trails, and infrastructure.
